Decorating the Sukkah and saying the blessing over the wine was the highlighted activity at the Simkin Centre last week. In preparation for Simchat Torah, residents helped to decorate the Sukkah.

Alzheimer’s Society Fundraiser – Success

We held our Annual Alzheimer “Coffee Break” fundraiser. Resident Council hosts this event. Two pieces of pizza and a soda were sold for $5.00. If you purchased pizza, then you got to enter to win one of four prizes. We raised $319.25. The winners were, 1st Prize-Yegile Nigussie, 2nd Prize- Nada, 3rd Prize- Victor M., and 4th Prize- Raklu Shah. Thank you all for participating in this worthy cause.

Surprise and Thank You!

Surprise and Thank You! Today our staff received a surprise visit from several managers carrying a plate of fresh baked cookies. They wanted staff to know how much they are appreciated. Our kitchen staff worked very hard to prepare the cookies from scratch. As you can see, there were a lot of cookies to pass around. We would like to take this opportunity to thank our Management Team for this small act of kindness and appreciation. We would also like to thank our dedicated staff for their dedication and hard work. Last, we want to thank our kitchen staff for preparing these delicious cookies.
