“Israel – 50” Book Donated by David Rosner
The first words in this wonderful book – “Israel – 50” – donated to The Saul and Claribel Simkin Centre by our friend David Rosner, were spoken by David Ben- Gurion in 1933;
“Every now and then in this arena of historical forces a great historic opportunity presents itself – as in the Jewish legend, according to which once every year the Heavens open for a single moment and your every wish is granted”
The book is a chronology of events, stories, and beautiful photograph’s from Israel’s first 50 years and will no doubt bring joy to our residents. Our thanks go to David for his generosity.
