Brodovsky and Tauber Family Help Support Education

The Saul and Claribel Simkin Centre Family Education Fund was established in 2009 by Dr. David Brodovsky and family, Harvey Brodovsky and Kady and Maurice Tauber of California  for the purposes of providing educational financial assistance to a child and/or dependent of a long term employee of the Simkin Centre.  The Fund is administered by The Jewish Foundation of Manitoba which selects one student each year to receive the award.  Four applications were submitted this year.  If you are interested in making a contribution to the Fund, please contact The Jewish Foundation of Manitoba for more information.

Heart on the Matzo

Matzah with Heart1 Preparations are under way for Passover next week at the Saul and Claribel Simkin Centre. We’ve been unpacking supplies of matzo, meat, wine, etc.  I opened one of the boxes of matzos and this is what I saw.  A heart burned at the top of this cracker.  So, I think to myself, everything has a purpose and you can see a message on simple things.  This heart on the matzo was a clear message of “Kosher and Happy Passover to all of you from our hearts to yours.”
